Intro to Steeking and Colourwork, Steek This Coffee Cozy

If you’ve been intimidated by colourwork, or if the thought of cutting your knitting fills you with dread, this is the class for you! Make a low stakes cozy, like a sweater for your coffee cup, and learn all the steps involved.
You’ll learn how to read a stranded colourwork chart to make a classic fair-isle pattern and then we’ll go through the steps to steek your piece using a crocheted reinforcement.
Students will receive a 15% discount on any class supplies purchased at Knit Stitch.
- Skill Level: Confident beginner, you should be able to knit in the round
- Materials Required: 3.75mm Double pointed needles, or circular to knit magic loop, 3.75mm crochet hook, sharp scissors, stitch markers and tapestry needle. You'll need small amounts of 5 colours of worsted weight yarn (non superwash is recommended)
