Rebel Rebel

I was looking for a sweater the other morning, and saw this Rebel Rebel in a corner of my closet... I can't remember exactly when I finished it last summer, but I haven't worn it yet, so I thought I'd snap a few pics. My goal is to be better about documenting finished projects which I'm really bad at!

The yarn is LITLG sock in Antique. I am such a huge fan of Life in the Long Grass, and this reminded me why... I didn't bother to alternate skeins which is usually risky with hand dyed yarn, but it certainly wasn't an issue here. The pattern is by Libby Jonson of Truly Myrtle of New Zealand. I love that you knit the bands at the same time as the body so when you're done, you're done. 

I made the scarf a few years ago at a natural dye workshop in Toronto. One of my goals for the summer is to get back into dyeing, with natural dyeing top of my list. I'm excited to try one of the Cocoon Natural Dye House Silk Scarf Kits that I recently brought in from the UK. The alchemy of natural dyeing is just so fun.
